A note from the family
If you write to us on a Sunday evening, you will likely hear back from one of us on Monday morning — from the kitchen, the cellar, or the herb garden. We do not have a script. We have a farmhouse, a small kitchen, and a great deal of care for the travelers who find their way up the Strada Provinciale.

When we reply
Inquiries received between 09:00 and 19:00 CET are answered the same day, often within twenty-two minutes. Notes that arrive after dinner are picked up at first light — usually with a hand-written addendum, often with a recipe.
Weekend and wedding inquiries are read by Sofia Bertelli directly; she carries the smallest portable notebook in the family.
Languages at the desk
Italian is our mother tongue, English is our working language, and French is Anna's quiet specialty. We can manage a careful German, a respectful Spanish, and a generous Portuguese; for anything else we'll write slowly and thoughtfully.
Translation is never a barrier — it's just another reason to pick up the phone.
Arriving at the farmhouse
The last eight kilometres of the Strada Provinciale are narrow, white-gravel and deeply scenic — please approach slowly. We can coordinate a private transfer from Chiusi-Chianciano Terme station on request.
Sat-nav sometimes prefers the cart track; trust the cypresses instead.
